Topic: Building resilience to violence against women and girls - what works in prevention violence in global context

Dr. Rachel Jewkes (MRC Gender & Health Research Unit, South Africa)
This keynote will draw on extensive, on-going research that focuses on what works to prevent violence across Global South and North Countries (including 14 countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East). Its aim is to address the burning topic of sexual violence and resilience, with special emphasis on how social ecologies can facilitate resilience in the face of sexual violence.
