She is a registered Social Worker and co-founder and Executive Director of Creating Hope Society, a society founded for the survivors of the “The Sixties and Seventies Scoop of Aboriginal Children in Care“. Her key passions are to create awareness of Aboriginal history, specifically to inform Canadians of the ongoing ripple effects of Residential Schools and the 60s and 70s child welfare scoop. She has presented workshops in British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, Nova Scotia and Hawaii. She is a recipient of the Canadian Association of Social Work for the Distinction Award and the Esquao Awards. In 2010, Creating Hope Society was nominated for the Human Rights Award.
